Devers has logged multiple hits in five of his last seven games after doing so in both legs of this doubleheader. The first baseman has added three home runs and eight RBI in that span. Devers hit a single in the first inning and added a two-run homer in the fifth. He was also intentionally walked in the eighth frame. The veteran infielder has homered in three straight games, batting .455 with six RBI, five runs scored and three home runs in 13 plate appearances during that stretch. Devers walloped a Chase Burns fastball over the fence in right-center field for a three-run homer in the second inning. The 29-year-old slugger has launched five long balls in 21 August games, though he's posted just a .224 batting average this month. Overall, Devers is slashing .243/.321/.475 with 27 homers, 73 RBI and 71 runs across 131 tilts.
