He served as the designated hitter in his return to the lineup, and it wouldn't be surprising to see most of his playing time there as he eases back into action without a rehab assignment. The star outfielder is up to 18 homers and 38 RBI on the year, and he's batting .234 with an .874 OPS across 75 contests.

Trout has been shelved since June 17 due to a right hamstring strain. He recently ramped up his on-field activities and said Saturday that he ran at about 90 percent speed with "no pain." All signs point to Trout being activated next week, perhaps as soon as Tuesday. Trout was also named an American League All-Star starter Saturday, and he'll presumably be able to appear in the Midsummer Classic as long as he doesn't experience any setbacks during the upcoming week.
