Conforto is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

With lefty Eduardo Rodriguez on the bump for the Diamondbacks, the left-handed-hitting Conforto will retreat to the bench in the series finale. Conforto had made starts at designated hitter in each of the last three games and went 5-for-9 with two home runs and a double, but he could be in danger of moving out of his strong-side platoon role once Matt Shaw (hand) -- who is in the midst of a rehab assignment -- makes his return from the 10-day injured list.

Conforto went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run, a double, an additional run scored and a walk in Monday's 7-0 win over Arizona.
Análise
Conforto picked up a trio of hits, highlighted by a two-run homer to right field in the sixth inning. The 33-year-old has now homered in consecutive games for the first time this season after launching a long ball in Sunday's win over Seattle. With sporadic playing time, Conforto is slashing .232/.326/.473 with 12 homers, 33 RBI, 28 runs and a stolen base across 236 plate appearances in 2026.

Conforto went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Sunday's 19-2 win over the Mariners.
Análise
Conforto was one of four Chicago players to go deep in the comfortable win. The veteran outfielder now has 11 home runs across 87 games this season to go along with 31 RBI and a .760 OPS. Conforto remains a threat when deployed against right-handed pitching, but his current role is too inconsistent to drive much fantasy value, except for in daily formats whenever he's in the lineup in a favorable matchup.
