Back from injured list
The Giants activated Gage (knee) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Análise
Gage has been sidelined since early June with right knee inflammation, but he made one successful rehab appearance to show the Giants he was ready to go. Reiver Sanmartin was optioned back to Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move.

Activation imminent
Giants manager Tony Vitello said Wednesday that Gage (knee) has joined the team in Atlanta and will be activated from the 15-day injured list before the end of the series, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The Giants will complete Tuesday's suspended game Wednesday afternoon before playing their regularly scheduled game in the evening, and then they'll have the series finale Thursday. Gage has been sidelined since early June with right knee inflammation but is ready to roll after making one scoreless rehab appearance.

Begins rehab assignment
Gage (knee) allowed one hit while striking out two across 1.2 scoreless innings during a rehab appearance for Single-A San Jose on Saturday.

Gage was placed on the 15-day injured list June 3 due to knee inflammation and received the starting nod in the first game of his rehab assignment. He was pulled after throwing 23 pitches, 16 of which were strikes. Prior to going on the IL, the left-handed reliever posted a 2.63 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 19:13 K:BB across 24 innings.
