Forced to IL with back strain
The Brewers placed Henderson on the 15-day injured list Tuesday due to a low back strain.
Análise
Henderson battled through back tightness during his previous start Friday against the Dodgers. Despite the injury, Henderson pitched effectively (nine strikeouts, one run allowed over five innings) en route to claiming the win, but he apparently didn't bounce back from the back issue as quickly as the Brewers had hoped. After landing on the IL, the young right-hander won't be available to rejoin the Milwaukee rotation until June 7. Coleman Crow was recalled from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move and could make a start the next time Henderson's turn in the rotation comes up.

Next start iffy due to back issue
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that Henderson might not make his next scheduled start Wednesday against the Cardinals due to back tightness, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.

Henderson went five scoreless frames versus the Dodgers his last time out despite his back tightening up on him after the second inning. Murphy said Monday of Henderson's back issue that "there's reason for concern" and the club will "keep a really close eye on it" before determining the righty's readiness for Wednesday's outing. It's unclear who would draw Wednesday's start if Henderson is unable to go, as it could depend on who is needed in relief in the first two games of the series.

Fans seven in win over LAD
Henderson (2-1) earned the win Friday against the Dodgers after tossing five scoreless innings, giving up two hits and three walks while striking out seven.

Henderson had to deal with a bases-loaded, two-out situation in the fourth inning, but he retired Max Muncy on a popout to end the threat. That was the only stressful situation Henderson had to face over a five-inning outing in which he threw 57 of his 85 pitches for strikes. Having struck out at least seven in three of his last four starts, Henderson has been doing a great job in the rotation while filling in for the injured Brandon Woodruff (shoulder). Sporting a 2.74 ERA through 23 innings over his first five starts this season, Henderson will carry significant momentum into a divisional matchup against the Cardinals next week.
