Right-hander Kevin Gausman has been more effective against lefties than righties both this season and for his career, so the Rays will hold out Lowe and fellow left-handed hitter Brandon Lowe for Wednesday's contest. Everson Pereira will step in for Josh Lowe in right field and will bat sixth.
