Marsee extended Miami's lead to 3-0 with an RBI single in the third inning, but he made his biggest contribution in the 10th with a long, towering single that brought Xavier Edwards home for the game-winning run. This marks the fifth time this season that Marsee has logged at least two RBI and he's reached base safely in each of his last five games, going 5-for-15 with one home run, three RBI and four runs scored over that span.

In Miami lineup Tuesday
Marsee (knee) will start in center field and bat seventh in Tuesday's game versus the Mariners.

Marsee had to be lifted from Sunday's game against the Athletics with a right knee contusion, but he will not have to miss a start, as Miami's team off day Monday evidently afforded the outfielder enough rest. The 25-year-old is slashing a disappointing .192/.316/.296 this season but does have five home runs and 18 stolen bases.

Exits game with knee contusion
Marsee was removed from Sunday's game against the Athletics due to a right knee contusion, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports. He went 1-for-1 with two runs scored before leaving the game.

Marsee was hit in the right kneecap by a pitch from Gage Jump in the third inning. The outfielder initially stayed in the game to run the bases but was replaced by Griffin Conine in the bottom of the frame. The good news for Marsee is that X-rays came back negative, and with the Marlins having an off-day Monday, he may not miss time and could be in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against the Mariners.

The Marlins took advantage of a trip to Sutter Health Park in Sacramento by launching five homers on the night, including Marsee's shot off Jack Perkins in the first inning. Marsee snapped a 12-game power drought with the blast, and since the beginning of June he's managed a meager .170/.291/.277 slash line with two of his five long balls on the season, along with four steals, six RBI and 11 runs in 28 contests.
