Idle for series finale
Burger is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
Análise
After making an early exit from Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Angels due to a left wrist contusion, Burger proceeded to start in the Rangers' ensuing three games and went 3-for-10 with two home runs, one double, four walks, one steal and three RBI. The wrist issue evidently isn't affecting his power production, but the Rangers will give Burger a maintenance day nonetheless for the series finale in Chicago. Joc Pederson will spell Burger at first base.

Knocks homer in loss
Burger went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 11-7 loss to the White Sox.

Burger and the Rangers did their best to dig out of an early hole. His second-inning homer was a response to Chicago's six-run first inning. It was the second consecutive game in which Burger went deep, and the long ball was his 23rd of the season.

Reaches base four times in win
Burger went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, a double, two RBI, two walks and a strikeout during an 11-2 win over the White Sox on Monday.
Análise
After reaching base just one time in his previous four games, Burger got on base four times during Monday's blowout win. The 30-year-old connected with his 22nd homer of the season in the fifth inning to extend the lead. Burger later drove in Evan Carter on an RBI double to add more distance on the scoreboard. Burger is slashing .236/.301/.424 with 22 homers and 75 RBI in 498 plate appearances this season.

Misses no time
Burger went 0-for-3 with a walk in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Angels.

Burger was removed from Saturday's game after getting hit by a pitch on the wrist but was able to play Sunday. It might have been a different story if the Rangers were out of the playoff hunt, but Texas is tied with Houston for first in the AL West. Burger admitted to the wrist still being sore, which could limit his production. He has one hit over his last 12 at-bats and is batting .217 (13-for-60) during the month of August.

Playing through wrist injury Sunday
Burger (wrist) will start at first base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Angels.
Análise
Per Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News, Burger said that his left wrist is still sore after he was hit by a pitch Saturday, but he's made enough improvement to play in the series finale. The wrist issue probably won't help Burger's chances of regaining the offense that's been missing for much of the second half; he's slashing an unremarkable .220/.274/.394 with five home runs in 31 games following the All-Star break.

Leaves game with wrist injury
Burger was removed from Saturday's game against the Angels due to a left wrist contusion, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Burger was hit by a pitch on his left wrist in the third inning, and he was replaced by Nicky Lopez in the top of the fifth. The good news for Burger is that X-rays did not show a fracture, so he can be considered day-to-day and could be available to play in Sunday's series finale.
