Tatis went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, two runs, an RBI and a stolen base in a 5-0 win against Atlanta on Sunday.

Tatis extended his campaign-opening hitting streak to four games Sunday, and he's collected multiple knocks in two of those contests. The star outfielder also stole his third bag of the season, which is tied for second in the majors in the early going. Tatis had a bit of a down year last season with 21 homers and 11 thefts over 102 regular-season games, but he's capable of putting up MVP-level numbers and if off to a fast start to begin 2025.

He led off the game by driving the first pitch he saw from Reynaldo Lopez over the fence in left-center field. Tatis is looking to bounce back from a somewhat disappointing 2024 campaign that saw him hit 21 homers and steal just 11 bags over 102 regular-season contests. If he can stay healthy, the 26-year-old has the talent to take a run at a 30-30 season.

It was an impressive opener for Tatis out of the leadoff spot as he spearheaded the Padres to an Opening Day victory. The 26-year-old outfielder slashed .276/.340/.492 with 21 homers and 11 steals in 102 games last season, and staying healthy will be Tatis' first priority in 2025.
