Set to start Monday
Ragans (groin) is scheduled to start Monday's game against the White Sox, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.
Análise
The 27-year-old hasn't pitched since April 24 due to a groin strain, but he's poised to take the mound Monday after missing just one turn through the rotation. Ragans has surrendered nine runs in his past two starts, but he was dominant in his first four outings of the year with a 2.28 ERA and 34:4 K:BB across 23.2 innings.

Throwing bullpen session Friday
Ragans (groin) will throw a bullpen session Friday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Análise
A mild left groin strain kept Ragans from making his scheduled start Wednesday versus the Rays, but as long as he gets through Friday's bullpen session without issue, he'll rejoin the Royals rotation Monday against the White Sox. Noah Cameron -- who started Wednesday in Ragans' place -- has already been sent back down to Triple-A Omaha, suggesting the club feels confident Ragans will be ready to go Monday, although Cameron could technically rejoin the big club that day if Ragans goes on the IL. However, all indications are that an IL stint will not be necessary for Ragans.

Missing start Wednesday
Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Ragans (groin) will not make his next scheduled start Wednesday at Tampa Bay, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Análise
The Royals will call up lefty Noah Cameron from Triple-A Omaha to start Wednesday in place of Ragans. After being pulled from his start last Thursday against the Rockies after three innings, Ragans was diagnosed Friday with a mild left groin strain. Per Rogers, Ragans' groin strain has improved each day since he suffered the injury, so for now, he's expected to avoid the injured list. He could be ready to make his next start as soon as this weekend in Baltimore or early next week versus the White Sox in Kansas City.
