The Yankees were routed by their crosstown rivals, but Bellinger ensured that they weren't shut out with his RBI single in the fourth inning and solo homer in the sixth. The veteran outfielder's power stroke has perked up of late -- he's slugged three homers over his past four contests after going deep just once across his previous 46 games. Bellinger has also notched at least one hit in 13 of his past 14 contests and is batting .386 (22-for-57) during that stretch.

Bellinger gave the Yankees a 4-1 lead in the second inning after taking Nolan McLean deep to right-center field for a three-run homer. It was Bellinger's second long ball in three games and 14th of the year. The veteran outfielder is heating up at the plate at the right time for the Yankees and has gone 20-for-53 (.377) with two home runs, eight RBI and 12 runs scored over his last 13 games, recording at least one hit in 12 of those contests.

Bellinger capped the scoring in the contest with a solo shot to right field in the eighth inning. Since returning to action Aug. 23 following a nearly month-long stay on the injured list, Bellinger has hit safely in 10 of 16 games, posting a .288/.294/.409 slash line with two homers, 13 runs and 10 RBI during that span. The veteran outfielder has experienced a drop-off in power this year, however, as he's slugged just 13 homers through 118 contests after going deep 29 times across 152 regular-season games last year.
