Rocchio's run-scoring single in the first inning put the Guardians on the board in opening frame for the second time in the last three contests. He also extended a hit streak (five games) and an RBI streak (three). Over a 29-game stretch since June 18, he's never gone more than one game without a hit while slashing .296/.319/.452 with six doubles, four home runs, 16 RBI and 14 runs scored.

Rocchio kicked off the rout with a two-run shot in the first inning, the first of seven home runs hit by the Guardians. It was the career-high ninth home run of the season for Rocchio, who also has a career-high 46 RBI. Cognizant of the team's cleanup batters ranking last in the league in OPS (.576), Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt deployed the shortstop fourth in the batting order the last two games.
