Singer (0-1) was tagged with the loss Wednesday against the Marlins after allowing six runs (five earned) on 10 hits across 2.2 innings. He struck out three.
Análise
Singer delivered his worst outing of the season by a wide margin, failing to get out of the third inning and setting season-worst numbers across the board. Perhaps the only silver lining is that he didn't walk a batter, but it's hard to find any other encouraging aspects of the right-hander's performance. Singer will aim to bounce back in his next start, tentatively scheduled for next week at home against the Giants.

Solid effort in no-decision
Singer did not factor into the decision in Friday's 5-3 win over the Rangers, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk with five strikeouts over five innings.
Análise
Singer surrendered two runs in the second inning but otherwise kept the Rangers in check despite allowing 12 hard-hit balls. He threw 58 of 87 pitches for strikes while generating just seven whiffs. While he's posted a solid 10:3 K:BB through two starts, the 29-year-old has yielded five earned runs over just nine innings. He lines up for a road matchup against the Marlins next week.
