Sitting Sunday
Vaughn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Análise
Since being called up from Triple-A Nashville on Monday, Vaughn has gotten off to a red-hot start to his time with the Brewers, recording at least one hit in each of his first five games while producing a 1.500 OPS and driving in 10 runs. The Brewers haven't yet committed to Vaughn as a full-time player, however, as Jake Bauers will replace him in the lineup Sunday while Milwaukee looks to keep both players involved at first base in the absence of Rhys Hoskins (thumb).

Drives in four in win
Vaughn went 2-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Nationals.
Análise
Vaughn has hit safely in all five of his games with Milwaukee, going 6-for-14 (.429) with four extra-base hits and 10 RBI. The first baseman delivered a pair of two-run doubles Saturday, with the second being a game-tying hit during the Brewers' ninth-inning comeback. Vaughn is slashing .206/.239/.362 with seven homers, 29 RBI, 10 doubles, 12 runs scored and no stolen bases over 209 plate appearances overall between the White Sox and Brewers this season, though he's taking full advantage of his opportunity to play while Rhys Hoskins (thumb) is on the mend.

Taking seat Wednesday
Vaughn is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.
Análise
After getting called up from Triple-A Nashville on Monday, Vaughn started at first base in both of the first two contests of the series with the Dodgers, going 2-for-5 with a home run, two walks, four RBI and two runs. Jake Bauers will get the nod at first base Wednesday, but Vaughn could end up seeing the bulk of the starts at the position while Rhys Hoskins (thumb) is on the shelf until around mid-to-late August.

Goes yard in team debut
Vaughn went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored during Monday's 9-1 win over the Dodgers.
Análise
After Vaughn had spent the previous three weeks at Triple-A Nashville following his acquisition from the White Sox on June 13, the Brewers called up the 27-year-old first baseman from the minors to replace Rhys Hoskins (thumb) on the active roster. Vaughn entered the starting nine in his first game with Milwaukee and made an instant impact, taking Yoshinobu Yamamoto deep in the first inning and plating Sal Frelick and William Contreras to stake the Brewers to an early lead. While Vaughn's long-term role with the Brewers remains unclear, the fact that he drew the start at first base against the right-handed Yamamoto over the lefty-hitting Jake Bauers suggests that Vaughn will get a look as the team's primary option at the position while Hoskins is on the shelf.

Starting at first base against RHP
Vaughn will start at first base and bat fifth in Monday's game versus the Dodgers.
Análise
The Brewers are throwing Vaughn right into the lineup after he took the roster spot of the injured Rhys Hoskins (thumb). While the Brewers also figure to give Jake Bauers reps at first base while Hoskins is out, it's notable that the right-handed-hitting Vaughn is getting the first shot against Dodgers right Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Vaughn was acquired via trade from the White Sox last month after he slashed .248/.303/.407 in parts of five seasons with the Pale Hose.

Moves up to big club
The Brewers recalled Vaughn from Triple-A Nashville on Monday.
Análise
Though he was acquired from the White Sox on June 13, Vaughn had played exclusively at Nashville since the trade but will now get the chance to join Milwaukee after first baseman Rhys Hoskins (thumb) landed on the injured list in a corresponding move. The absence of Hoskins opens up an everyday spot in the lineup, but rather than leaning on the right-handed Vaughn as the primary option at first base, manager Pat Murphy could be inclined to deploy Vaughn in the short side of a platoon with the left-handed-hitting Jake Bauers. Vaughn had been performing effectively for Nashville prior to his call-up, slashing .259/.338/.500 with three home runs and a 10.8 percent walk rate over 65 plate appearances with the affiliate.
