
Final Super Rare & Unique Gameplay Updates Ahead of Game Week 1
Thank you for the direct feedback and the time you’ve spent engaging with us on Super Rare & Unique Gameplay. We’re committed to easing the transition—with your guidance.
Over the past week, we’ve taken your feedback, tested various configurations, and landed on a set of final updates that are effective immediately and will go live ahead of Game Week 1. These adjustments aim to preserve balance while reinforcing the value of all Super Rare & Unique Cards.
Unique Essence Rebase
We’re addressing one of the biggest concerns by rebasing Unique Essence ×10, consistent with how other rarities were handled. For Managers who crafted before Essence was locked, we’ll review those situations case-by-case to ensure you aren’t adversely impacted.
🔹 Reward Boost Methodology
We’re implementing the MVP Reward Bonus, doubling the Reward Boost for the MVP slot. For example, in Champion:
- In-Season Unique MVPs → 160% Reward Boost
- Classic Unique MVPs → 40% Reward Boost
- Reward bonuses for all other slots will not change, making this an incremental upgrade for MVP Uniques.
What we will be changing is the Reward Boost applied to Classic Unique Cards in Challenger & Daily Pickup. These Cards will now receive an 80% reward boost. They will still gain a 20% reward boost and grant an extra Classic Slot in In-Season competitions. This is done in an effort to properly sustain the rewards gained throughout the duration of a player’s career, regardless of competition.
🔹 Unique Collection Bonus Update
We’re slightly adjusting the Unique Collections matrix to accelerate bonuses earned at earlier milestones while maintaining the same 8% maximum.
This update improves competitive balance across card types and gives Managers quicker access to meaningful bonuses as they build out Collections.
New Unique Collection Bonus Progression:
- Milestone 1 → 1%
- Milestone 2 → 4% (was 2%)
- Milestone 3 → 5% (was 3%)
- Milestone 4 → 7% (was 6%)
- Milestone 5 → 8%

🔹 Super Rare & Unique XP Airdrop — October 21
To help Managers adjust strategies after this gameplay update, we’ll airdrop XP based on preseason purchases:
- 1,000 SR XP for every 5 In-Season Super Rares purchased
- 1,000 U XP for every 2 In-Season Uniques purchased
This will allow Managers to level up key cards and smooth early-season progression.
🔹 Reward Pool Rebalancing
We’re adding 675 Super Rare Essence (135 Unique) to 2nd & 3rd place rewards in the Challenger prize pool. Reward Choice will be removed from Daily Pickup, which will now only reward Super Rare Essence.
We’ll continue to monitor gameplay data and community feedback through the opening Game Weeks to ensure ongoing balance across tiers.
