Analyse
Thompson has been one of several role players who have been experiencing an uptick in playing time for the Pacers, but he hasn't done much with increased minutes. He's started in four of his last five appearances dating back to March 29, but he's averaging just 10.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists on 26.2 minutes per game over that stretch. He might merit some consideration in deep formats because he's been starting regularly, but he doesn't carry a ton of fantasy upside overall.

Starting again versus Cleveland

The Pacers won't have any of their usual starters Sunday, allowing Thompson to re-enter the starting lineup for the third time in the last four games. In eight starts during the 2025-26 campaign, the 26-year-old has averaged 9.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.5 blocks and 1.0 steals in 27.9 minutes.

Thompson won't start Friday's game against Charlotte, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports.

With Ben Sheppard entering the starting five, Thompson will retreat to the second unit. The two-way player has averaged 4.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.1 minutes per game over 18 appearances off the bench this season.
