Back in action Monday
Freeman (hamstring) will start in right field and bat leadoff in Monday's game against the Red Sox.
Analyse
A sore right hamstring kept Freeman from playing in Sunday's 6-4 win over the White Sox, but the day off was apparently all he needed to move past the issue and re-enter the lineup for the series opener in Boston. Before sitting out Sunday, Freeman had been wielding a hot bat to kick off July, going 10-for-22 with four doubles, one walk, three stolen bases, two runs and two RBI.

Sitting due to sore hamstring
Freeman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox due to right hamstring soreness, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Analyse
The 26-year-old started the previous seven games and went 10-for-22 over the past six contests, but the hamstring issue will force him to the bench Sunday. Freeman said that his injury isn't serious, noting that soreness and cramping with his legs sometimes happens toward the end of homestands at the higher elevation. Yanquiel Fernandez will replace Freeman in the lineup in the series finale, manning right field and batting eighth.

Freeman went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and a run scored Saturday against the White Sox.

Freeman has had an excellent homestand, going 10-for-22 with four doubles, three steals, two runs scored and two RBI across five games. He has at least one hit in 10 of his last 11 games at Coors Field and currently has a five-game hitting streak. Freeman has also taken over as the Rockies' primary leadoff hitter, with his last 12 starts coming from atop the order.
