Lands on IL with hamstring strain
The Yankees placed Grisham on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to a right hamstring strain.

Grisham tweaked his right hamstring during Friday's game against the Padres. The injury is severe enough for the veteran outfielder to go on the IL, and the Yankees are hopeful that he'll be back with the big club before the regular season is complete. Jasson Dominguez was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move, and Spencer Jones could see a bump in playing time in center field against right-handed pitching for as long as Grisham is sidelined.

Slated to undergo imaging
Grisham will undergo imaging on his right hamstring, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports. "Not sure yet if it's an IL or not, but it certainly could be," manager Aaron Boone said after Friday's game.

Boone revealed that Grisham hurt his hamstring while attempting to steal second base in the second inning. The outfielder missed time earlier this season with an injury to the same hamstring. Spencer Jones moved to center field Friday following Grisham's exit, with Heliot Ramos entering the game in right -- perhaps a preview of the Yankees' regular outfield alignment, at least until Aaron Judge (ribs) returns.

Phillips notes that it's the same hamstring that sent Grisham to the injured list earlier this season, though Grisham has said that he's been healthy since coming back in July. Whether related or not, Grisham has been in a bad way at the dish, as he entered Friday with just four hits in his last 44 at-bats.
