Taking seat Sunday
Robert is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
Analyse
Since being activated from the 60-day injured list Monday, Robert has started four of six games while going 2-for-15 with a pair of solo home runs, two walks and an additional run. New York may continue to manage Robert's workload coming off his extended absence, but the 28-year-old should still be in line for a near-everyday role in the outfield now that he's healthy.

Pops fourth homer
Robert went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Dodgers.
Analyse
The center fielder took Roki Sasaki deep in the second inning to give the Mets an early lead, although they couldn't make it hold up in an eventual 4-2 loss. It was Robert's fourth homer of the year, and his second in four games since coming off the IL following a nearly three-month absence due to back issues. The 28-year-old's checkered injury history and lack of consistent production limit his value despite the impressive physical tools he possesses when he's fully healthy, but Robert is still a player New York will likely try to move at the trade deadline.

Resting in series finale
Robert is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.
Analyse
The Mets will give Robert a breather for the matinee contest after he started in center field in the first two games in Milwaukee following his return from the 60-day injured list, going 1-for-9 with a solo home run and a 0:4 BB:K between those contests. Robert could get a day off or two per week coming off his lengthy stint on the shelf due to a back injury, but he should be essentially locked in as a near-everyday player now that he's healthy again.

Goes deep during win
Robert went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Brewers.
Analyse
Robert provided the game's final run with a solo shot off Bryse Wilson in the eighth inning. The homer was his third of the season and represents his only production through his first two games since returning from a lengthy stint on the injured list, as he's gone 1-for-9 during that span. Before the injury, Robert struggled to a .224 average and .656 OPS across 24 games. A sustained hot streak could earn him more consistent playing time in the outfield, but for now he appears likely to fill in as needed.

Shaky in return to lineup
Robert went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Monday's loss to the Brewers.
Analyse
Activated from the IL earlier in the day and seeing his first MLB action since April 26, Robert was handed a tough assignment against Jacob Misiorowski, the major-league strikeout leader this season. Robert got the start in center field, with A.J. Ewing shifting to right field and Carson Benge getting the night off, but it's unlikely the veteran outfielder will displace either of the rookies on a regular basis as the disappointing Mets turn their focus to 2027. Through 102 plate appearances this season, Robert has a .213/.314/.315 slash line with two homers and two steals.

Returning from IL on Monday
The Mets reinstated Robert (back) from the 60-day injured list Monday. He'll start in center field and bat seventh in the Mets' series opener in Milwaukee.
Analyse
New York optioned Eric Wagaman to Triple-A Syracuse to clear room on the active roster for Robert, who will rejoin the big club for the first time since late April. Robert received the green light to come off the IL after he went 10-for-31 (.323 average) with two home runs, one double and three walks over eight rehab games between Syracuse and Double-A Binghamton. The 28-year-old started exclusively in center field during his rehab assignment, but he could end up seeing some time at designated hitter while the big club looks to keep playing time in the outfield available for all of Juan Soto, A.J. Ewing and Carson Benge. Benge will be the odd man out of the outfield Monday while Jorge Polanco occupies the DH spot.
