Goes four innings vs. Blue Jays

Rodon was limited to 76 pitches in his second start back from the IL, though he was effective overall. The southpaw has allowed just two earned runs on four hits across eight innings since returning to New York's rotation. Overall, Rodon sports a 3.15 ERA with a 1.21 WHIP and 58:30 K:BB across 11 starts (54.1 innings) this season. It remains to be seen whether Rodon will remain on a pitch count in his next outing, which currently lines up to come at home next weekend against the Red Sox.

Rodon didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Orioles, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out four.
Analyse
Making his first start since June 28 after recovering from elbow inflammation, Rodon was limited to 66 pitches (39 strikes) but looked good, with the only blemish on his line coming from a Coby Mayo solo shot in the third inning. Rodon still hasn't taken a loss since May 21 and hasn't given up more than three runs in any of his 10 outings this season, resulting in a 3.22 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 56:28 K:BB through 50.1 innings. The veteran southpaw will look to get back in the win column in his next start, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Blue Jays.

The Yankees reinstated Rodon (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday's game at Baltimore.
Analyse
Rodon has been sidelined due to elbow inflammation since late June, but he's ready to rejoin New York's rotation after a two-outing rehab assignment. The left-hander threw just 58 pitches across 4.1 scoreless innings during his final rehab outing, so he'll likely have some workload limitations in his first few starts back with the Yankees.
