Delivers pinch-hit grand slam
Benintendi went 1-for-1 with a grand slam in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Yankees.
Analyse
Benintendi delivered the game's defining moment in the eighth inning. Entering as a pinch hitter for Randal Grichuk in a tie game with the bases loaded, the veteran outfielder launched a 393-foot grand slam off Camilo Doval to break the game open and give Chicago all the offense it would need. The homer continued a recent power surge for Benintendi, who has now gone deep three times in his last 17 plate appearances. After a slow start to the season, he has raised his production to a .242 batting average and .741 OPS across 66 games.

Receiving evening off
Benintendi is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.
Analyse
Left-hander Carlos Rodon is starting for the Yankees, so the left-handed-hitting Benintendi will be given a night off as the White Sox stock up on some extra right-handed bats. Randal Grichuk will step in for Benintendi as Chicago's designated hitter.

Homers again Tuesday
Benintendi went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 12-2 loss to the Yankees.
Analyse
Benintendi provided an early spark for Chicago, taking Gerrit Cole deep in the opening frame for a solo shot that gave the White Sox an early lead. The homer accounted for one of just two runs Chicago managed on the night and was Benintendi's eighth long ball of the season. The veteran outfielder has provided solid power lately, homering five times over his last 15 games. On the season, Benintendi is slashing .239/.300/.424 with 10 doubles, two triples, 33 RBI, 29 runs scored and one stolen base across 228 plate appearances.

Smacks seventh homer
Benintendi went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run Friday against the Dodgers.
Analyse
Benintendi got the scoring started for the White Sox with a home run in the first inning, his seventh of the season. Four of those long balls have come in his last 10 starts, during which he's hit .257 with eight RBI and nine runs scored. That stretch has also coincided with Munetaka Murakami's (hamstring) absence, with Benintendi rising up the White Sox's lineup to primarily hit third.
