Civale (hamstring) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Saturday, MLB.com reports.
Analyse
If that goes well, he will throw off the mound again April 8. It seems likely that the Brewers will want Civale to make at least one rehab start, and the team is tentatively projecting a return in late April for the veteran right-hander.

The Brewers placed Civale on the 15-day injured list Monday with a strained left hamstring, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Civale was pulled from Sunday's start against the Yankees after three innings due to what the team referred to as a hamstring cramp, but evidently testing revealed a strain. He will be eligible to return in mid-April but it's uncertain whether he'll be ready to return at that time. It wasn't immediately apparent that the right-hander suffered an injury, since the five runs, including three homers, he allowed seemed like enough to end his afternoon. The injury doesn't sound like a serious issue, but his status for the next turn through the rotation should receive some clarity in the next couple days. The Brewers can ill afford to lose another starter with Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) and Tobias Myers (oblique) on the IL while Jose Quintana is still ramping up in the minors.
