Williamson finished with 28 points (11-19 FG, 6-9 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two steals over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 144-119 loss to the Nuggets.
Análisis
Despite the experiment of an Ingram-Williamson combo coming to an untimely end, the dynamic fifth-year pro continued his solid 2024 campaign with an impressive set of numbers in the blowout loss. The recent trade doesn't give Williamson and company much immediate help, which is a signal of recognition from the team that their current 15th-place ranking in the West might not improve enough to make a difference this season.

A stomach bug prevented Williamson from playing in Friday's 118-116 loss to the Celtics. It appears he was able to recover from his illness over the weekend and has been cleared to play Monday. Williamson has averaged 26.6 points (on 61.5 percent shooting), 9.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.6 blocks over 25.6 minutes per game over his last five outings.

Pelicans head coach Willie Green said that Williamson is dealing with a stomach illness and won't play Friday against the Celtics, Erin Summers of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network reports.

After filling up the stat sheet in Wednesday's loss to the Mavericks with 29 points, seven assists, six rebounds and two steals in 28 minutes, Williamson fell ill and will now have to miss his 36th game of the season. With Williamson sidelined, Javonte Green and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will likely cover most of the minutest at power forward.
