Solid numbers in return
Gobert (back) amassed 16 points (7-8 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals across 20 minutes during Sunday's 141-124 victory over the Spurs.
Análisis
The veteran center saw his first action since Feb. 12 as he returned from a back issue. His minutes were limited, but it's unclear if it was because he was under a specific restriction, or because Gobert picked up two first-quarter fouls that prompted head coach Chris Finch to hold him out for the entire second quarter. In any case, Gobert made the most of his time on the court by turning in a hihgly efficient performance. Minnesota doesn't play again until Wednesday in Denver and doesn't face a back-to-back set until next Sunday and Monday, so Gobert could ramp up to his usual workload fairly quickly.
