Riding with starters Wednesday
Post is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports.

Although Daniel Gafford (knee) won't play Wednesday, the Warriors have decided to roll with a traditional center in their starting lineup. Post will make his seventh start of the season, with the rookie big man averaging 8.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 three-pointers in 17.3 minutes as a member of Golden State's first unit.

Efficient from second unit
Post closed Monday's 125-111 victory over the Bucks with 13 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 15 minutes off the bench.
Análisis
After getting the start Saturday in Jimmy Butler's debut for the Warriors, Post shifted to the second unit Monday while Moses Moody got a look in the starting five. The rookie center delivered an incredibly efficient scoring performance off the bench, and he's pushed his way into Golden State's frontcourt rotation by scoring in double digits in five of the last 10 games (six starts), averaging 10.1 points, 4.3 boards, 2.1 assists and 2.1 threes in 17.7 minutes a contest over that stretch. Coach Steve Kerr will likely continue to shuffle his lineup in the short term to find the best fit around Butler, but Post seems to have secured a consistent workload regardless.

Retreating to bench Monday
Post is not in the Warriors' starting lineup against the Bucks on Monday, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Post has started in the Warriors' last six games and has averaged 8.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 17.2 minutes per game over that span. However, the Warriors are going with a small-ball lineup with Moses Moody entering the starting five next to Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler, which means Post will come off the bench Monday.

Post closed Saturday's 132-111 victory over Chicago with 18 points (7-10 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one block in 20 minutes.
Análisis
After agreeing to a standard contract Friday, Post delivered his highest-scoring outing since dropping a career-high 20 against Chicago on Jan. 23. Over his last five games, the rookie second-round pick has averaged 10.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 19.0 minutes per game.

Agrees to two-year deal
The Warriors converted Post's two-way contract to a two-year standard NBA deal Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Post has started in Golden State's last five outings, averaging 6.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 16.6 minutes over that span. While the rookie big man will likely continue to battle for playing time with Trayce Jackson-Davis and Kevon Looney, he is set to remain with Golden State through at least the 2025-26 season.
