Perfect from deep in team debut
Christie finished with 15 points (5-8 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 118-116 loss to the 76ers.
Análisis
Making his Mavericks debut Tuesday, Christie made an immediate impact off the bench while falling a lone rebound shy of what would've been his first double-double of the campaign. It was also the 28th consecutive game with at least one three-pointer for Christie, who appears set to play a significant role in the Dallas backcourt going forward, even if he isn't a part of the starting lineup. The 21-year-old has averaged 11.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.5 threes in 31.2 minutes over his last six outings.

Christie will likely come off the bench for Dallas, as he is expected to compete for playing time with Spencer Dinwiddie, Quentin Grimes and Dante Exum in a stacked backcourt. Won't debut Sunday

Christie had been starting for the Lakers, but he'll face competition from the likes of Spencer Dinwiddie, Naji Marshall and Quentin Grimes for a spot on the top unit as well as playing time in Dallas. Over his last 23 starts for Los Angeles, Christie averaged 10.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers, 1.6 assists and 0.8 steals in 30.7 minutes per contest while shooting 40 percent from downtown.

Dealt to Dallas
The Mavericks acquired Christie, Anthony Davis (abdomen) and a 2029 first-round pick from the Lakers on Saturday in exchange for Luka Doncic (calf), Maxi Kleber (foot) and Markieff Morris, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

The Jazz are also included in the trade and will receive Jalen Hood-Schifino (hamstring) and two 2025 second-round draft picks to help facilitate the blockbuster deal. Davis and Doncic are the obvious headliners in the trade, but the Mavericks also receive a capable guard in Christie, who was permanently inserted into the Lakers' starting lineup Dec. 8 and had since been averaging 10.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 30.8 minutes per game. It's unclear whether Christie will join Davis in the starting lineup alongside Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson, or if the third-year player will come off the bench in Dallas. Whatever the case, Christie could have difficulty matching the big minutes he had been seeing with the Lakers, as he'll be part of a deeper wing group in Dallas that includes Thompson, Spencer Dinwiddie, Dante Exum, Naji Marshall, Quentin Grimes and Jaden Hardy.

Christie posted 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block across 33 minutes during Saturday's 128-112 victory over the Knicks.

Christie logged his highest scoring output since a 16-point outing in the Jan. 15 win over Miami. Over his last 10 appearances, the 21-year-old has averaged 9.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.7 blocks and 2.1 three-pointers in 30.9 minutes per game. Christie has nailed at least one triple in 27 consecutive games, and he should remain fantasy relevant in deeper formats as long as he holds onto a role in Los Angeles' first unit.
