Walker had 29 points (10-18 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound and two assists over 40 minutes during Monday's 117-105 loss to Miami.

Making his third start in the last five games for the injury-ravaged Sixers, Walker set new season highs in points and three-pointers while tying Quentin Grimes as the night's leading scorer. Walker has played more than 20 minutes in five of the last six contests, and it seems like he'll be a regular part of Philly's rotation to close out the schedule- over that stretch, the 26-year-old wing is averaging 15.8 points, 4.0 assists, 3.2 boards and 2.5 threes.

Avoids serious injury
Walker didn't return to Thursday's 126-113 loss to the Bucks after suffering a bruised heel late in the third quarter, though head coach Nick Nurse said afterward that Walker was cleared to check back in, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Walker exited with 1:02 remaining in the third quarter and was checked out in the locker room. While Walker returned to the Philadelphia bench in the fourth quarter, the 76ers elected not to have him re-enter the contest. He finished the game with four points (2-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists and one steal across 17 minutes.

Walker went to the locker room during the third quarter of Thursday's game against the Bucks due to an apparent ankle injury, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Análisis
Walker checked out almost immediately after tweaking his ankle. Justin Edwards and Ricky Council could be needed to take on heavier workloads down the stretch if Walker is unable to return.
