Questionable for Thursday
Towns (knee) has been listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Pacers, Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis reports.
Análisis
Towns is dealing with a knee injury that could end up keeping him sidelined for Game 5. The Knicks face elimination for the first time in this series with the Pacers, which makes Towns' status incredibly important for New York's chances of keeping its season alive. The veteran star is averaging 25.8 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in the Eastern Conference Finals, shooting 52.4 percent from the floor and 45.5 percent from beyond the arc.

Late-game heroics seal victory
Towns provided 24 points (8-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 15 rebounds and one assist over 33 minutes during Sunday's 106-100 win over Indiana in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Análisis
Towns put the Knicks on his back down the stretch, leading from the front as New York erased a 20-point deficit. He has now scored at least 20 points in four straight games, although this may have been his most important offensive showing. After losing both games in front of its home crowd, New York now trails the series 2-1 with Game 4 slated for Tuesday in Indiana.

Only 28 minutes in loss Friday
Towns finished Friday's 114-109 loss to the Pacers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals with 20 points (6-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and seven rebounds across 28 minutes.
Análisis
Towns played just 28 minutes in the loss, the fewest he has played thus far in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Mitchell Robinson played a postseason-high 29 minutes, with head coach Tom Thibodeau leaning into Robinson's defensive upside. Although Towns should be able to bounce back, his defensive shortcomings are proving to be an issue against the Pacers. New York will now head to Indiana for Game 3 and Game 4, which could be viewed as must-win situations.
