Embiid (knee) has been cleared to play in Friday's game against the Pistons.
Análisis
After missing 16 of the last 17 games for the 76ers, Embiid did not appear on the injury report for Philadelphia, making him available to play Friday in Detroit. In his first game back from the extended absence, the one-time NBA MVP recorded a triple-double in Tuesday's win against the Mavericks, finishing with 29 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and one steal. This is a promising sign for the team, as the superstar big man might be back to form quicker than anticipated.

Embiid tallied 29 points (10-23 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-9 FT), 11 rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Tuesday's 118-116 win over the Mavericks.

Embiid returned to action Tuesday after missing Philadelphia's previous 15 outings due to left knee injury management. Though head coach Nick Nurse said prior to the game that Embiid would be limited to around 30 minutes, the 2023 NBA MVP logged a season-high 36 minutes in the narrow victory. Embiid recorded a season-high assist total in the win, coming away with his eighth career triple-double in the process. According to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the 76ers announced after the game that Embiid will be held out for the second leg of the back-to-back set Wednesday versus the Heat, but the expectation is that Embiid will be back in action Friday in Detroit.

After missing the last 15 games due to left knee injury management, Embiid will return to action Wednesday upon checking out fine following a full practice Monday. According to Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com, head coach Nick Nurse will manage the superstar big man's workload Tuesday, keeping Embiid's time on the floor to around 30 minutes. Embiid is unlikely to play during the second half of Philadelphia's upcoming back-to-back set Wednesday against the Heat.

Head coach Nick Nurse said that he's optimistic that Embiid (knee) will return to the 76ers lineup by the end of the week after the big man completed an on-court workout Saturday, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
Análisis
Embiid hasn't played since Jan. 4 while managing continued discomfort in the left knee he had surgically repaired last February, missing 15 straight games in the process. Assuming he experienced no renewed pain following Saturday's workout, Embiid should continue to ramp up throughout the week before a clearer date for his return emerges. Based on Nurse's comments, Embiid can likely be ruled out for both ends of the 76ers' Tuesday/Wednesday back-to-back set versus the Mavericks and Heat, respectively, but a return to action Friday in Detroit could be more realistic.
