Morant suffered the injury when he fell hard to the floor on a layup attempt. The Warriors' Kevon Looney was initially charged with a foul on the play in question, but the foul was overturned after an official review, and Morant headed to the bench. The Grizzlies labeled Morant as questionable to return, but with Memphis having built a 50-point lead by the end of the third quarter, the point guard was never expected to check back into the contest. The severity of his injury isn't known, but he can be viewed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Hawks until the Grizzlies provide another update on his condition.

Morant missed eight games in November due to a hip injury and has also experienced back and knee problems in recent weeks, so this shouldn't come as a surprise. His absence would be a huge blow for the Grizzlies, however, as the star floor general has averaged 23.8 points, 7.2 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game over his last five appearances. If Morant can't go Thursday, expect Scotty Pippen to take his place in the lineup.

Morant registered 20 points (6-21 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-8 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and three steals over 31 minutes during Sunday's 116-110 loss to the Lakers.
Análisis
On the surface, Morant had a strong performance Monday and delivered another impressive stat line. However, he had major struggles when dealing with Max Christie as his primary defender. Morant finished with more field-goal attempts than points scored, and he also committed a season-high seven turnovers. Fantasy managers will surely live with that lack of efficiency, though, as long as he continues to light up the stat sheet regularly.
