Out another week
The Warriors announced Saturday that Payton (calf) has been cleared to begin individual workouts and will be re-evaluated in one week.
Análisis
If Payton continues to recover from the left calf strain he sustained in the Dec. 25 loss to the Lakers as anticipated, he could get the green light to resume practicing once he's re-evaluated. The veteran wing seems to be trending toward a mid-January return to game action in a best-case scenario.

Not ready to play Saturday
Payton (calf) is out for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies.
Análisis
Payton was diagnosed with a calf strain on Dec. 26, and he'll miss his fifth consecutive outing Saturday due to the injury. With Brandin Podziemski (abdomen) also ruled out, Lindy Waters and Moses Moody should pick up additional minutes off the bench for the Warriors.
