Plays field on rehab assignment
Story (shoulder) started at shortstop and went hitless in three at-bats for Triple-A Worcester on Monday.
Análisis
Story played the field for the first time while on rehab and was pulled after five innings. He served as the designated hitter in his first rehab outing Sunday and is 2-for-7 in the two games. Story likely needs a couple of weeks to get his timing down, but he could be available over the second half of September, as the Red Sox make a push for the postseason.

Story, who began a rehab assignment with the WooSox, served as the designated hitter Sunday. He's expected to start at shortstop Monday. Story dislocated his left shoulder April 5, which at the time was thought to be season-ending. That outlook changed mid-summer, and the shortstop could get back to the majors during the second half of September.

Story (shoulder) will begin his rehab assignment with Triple-A Worcester on Sunday, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.
Análisis
Story will begin his assignment as the designated hitter, and barring any setbacks, he will move to playing in the infield. The 31-year-old dislocated his left shoulder just eight games into the regular season, and the procedure to repair the injury was thought to be season-ending. However, Story has been ramping up his activity since after the All-Star break, and he will take the next step in his rehab program Sunday. He will need several at-bats and fielding reps before being reinstated off the 60-day injured list, but a return to the majors before the end of the season is not off the table.
