Rough outing in New York
Suarez (5-4) took the loss Sunday against the Yankees, allowing six runs on nine hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out two.
Análisis
Suarez held the Yankees off the board through four innings Sunday before things fell apart with one out in the fifth. The southpaw gave up a two-run single to Paul Goldschmidt before Heliot Ramos extended the lead to 5-0 with a three-run blast. Suarez has been inconsistent since returning from the IL in late July -- he's now given up 11 runs over 15.2 innings in his last three outings. His ERA now sits at 3.64 on the season with a 1.24 WHIP and 119:39 K:BB across 24 starts (123.2 innings). Suarez will look to bounce back his next time out, tentatively scheduled to come on the road against the Orioles.

Battles control in no-decision
Suarez didn't factor into the decision against the Marlins on Monday, allowing one run on four hits and four walks in five innings. He struck out four.
Análisis
Suarez exhibited an uncharacteristic lack of control, issuing a season-worst four free passes, but he was still able to hold Miami in check Monday. The 30-year-old left-hander is still searching for a rhythm since coming off the injured list July 26 with a groin strain, logging a 4.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 20:11 K:BB over his last six starts (27 frames). Suarez, who still has a strong 3.35 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 117:37 K:BB across 118.1 innings in 2026, has a tough road matchup against the division-rival Yankees on tap for this weekend.
