Yastrzemski went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a walk and three runs scored in Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Yastrzemski big hit of the night came in the eighth and kickstarted a four-run inning for the Giants. He's now homered in back-to-back games and in four of his last eight, totaling six RBI over that span. For the year, the 24-year-old is slashing .242/.313/.439 with 13 homers, 45 RBI, 50 runs, three steals and a 32:101 BB:K in 394 plate appearances.

Launches 100th career homer
Yastrzemski went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Marlins.
Análisis
The homer was Yastrzemski's 100th career long ball, a mark he's achieved over six seasons. It's been a down year in the power department for the outfielder -- he has 12 homers through 117 contests, his lowest total since hitting 10 in 54 games in the shortened 2020 campaign. Yastrzemski has picked up the pace recently, going 7-for-26 (.269) with three homers and five RBI over his last seven games, lifting his season slash line to .239/.309/.430 across 389 plate appearances.

Taking seat Thursday
Yastrzemski is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Milwaukee, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Análisis
The Giants are facing a right-hander in Aaron Civale, but the left-handed-hitting Yastrzemski will nonetheless begin the series finale on the bench. Jerar Encarnacion will occupy right field Thursday.
