Sitting against RHP again
Clase is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Análisis
Clase had mostly been occupying the strong side of a platoon in center field since Daulton Varsho (hamstring) landed on the injured list June 1, but Myles Straw will stick in the lineup for a second straight matchup versus a right-handed pitcher (Adrian Houser). Clase has produced a .464 OPS in June, and though Straw hasn't been any better at the plate over that stretch (.433 OPS), his superior defense may be tipping the scales in his favor.

Goes yard in Thursday's loss
Clase went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to Arizona.
Análisis
The 23-year-old took Anthony DeSclafani deep in the eighth inning as the Blue Jays tried to mount a late comeback from a 9-1 deficit. Clase has seen regular action in June due to all the injuries in the Toronto outfield, but he largely hasn't been able to take advantage, slashing .146/.205/.293 over 44 plate appearances on the month with two solo homers, two additional runs scored and a 31.8 percent strikeout rate.

Returns to lineup
Clase (knee) will start in center field and bat ninth in Thursday's game versus the Diamondbacks.
Análisis
Clase didn't play Wednesday after departing Tuesday's contest when he was hit by a pitch on the right knee. After the day off, Clase has apparently made enough progress in his recovery from the bruised knee to give it a go Thursday. Clase will likely serve as the Blue Jays' primary option in center field until Daulton Varsho (hamstring) is ready to come off the injured list.

Sitting after getting hurt Tuesday
Clase (knee) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Análisis
Clase was one of two Blue Jays center fielders who exited in the fifth inning of Tuesday's 5-4 win, with Myles Straw also checking out of the game due to an ankle sprain. Neither Clase nor Straw is ready to start Wednesday, but manager John Schneider said that Clase has already shown some improvement in his recovery from the right knee contusion and might be available off the bench, per Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca. The Blue Jays will turn to George Springer in center field in the penultimate game of the series.

Exits with bruised knee
Clase was removed from Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks due to a right knee contusion.
Análisis
Clase took a 93-mph sinker off his knee in the fourth inning of Tuesday's contest and was replaced on defense for the start of the fifth. The fact that he was able to run for himself is a positive sign that he avoided a serious injury, though he may still need a day or two off to recover.
