Surprising power surge continues
Young went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Monday's win over the Guardians.

The center fielder came into 2026 with five career homers in 303 MLB games, but through 53 contests to begin the current campaign he's already gone yard seven times, including his second-inning shot off Tanner Bibee on Monday. Four of Young's blasts have come in the last 10 games, a stretch in which he's slashing an eye-popping .391/.462/.957 with one steal, five runs and seven RBI.

Goes yard again Wednesday
Young went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Mets.
Análisis
The center fielder got plunked in the ribs Monday in the first game of the series and was held out of the starting lineup the next day, but Young returned to action Wednesday and got his revenge by taking Craig Kimbrel deep in the eighth inning. Young has gone yard in each of his last three full games, and while he's slashing just .220/.292/.441 through 18 contests in May, he has launched four of his six homers on the year in that span. His previous career high was three home runs, set over 150 games in 2024.

Returns to lineup Wednesday
Young (rib) will start in center field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Mets.
Análisis
Young left Monday's game against the Mets after being hit by a pitch in the ribs and did not play in Tuesday's contest. He escaped with merely a contusion, however, and is back in there after taking one day to recuperate.
