Getting turn in leadoff spot
Rodriguez will start in right field and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game against the Giants.
Análisis
Reds manager Terry Francona is shaking things up a bit as he aims to jumpstart a struggling offense. Rodriguez earned the bump up in the lineup after going 5-for-13 with one home run and one double over his last four contests. It's the first time in his young big-league career that Rodriguez has batted higher than sixth. Usual leadoff man Elly De La Cruz is batting second for the Reds.

Hits first big-league homer
Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and two total runs scored in Saturday's 11-5 win over the Diamondbacks.
Análisis
The seventh-inning homer was Rodriguez's first in the majors. This was also his first multi-hit effort, as his career has gotten off to a bit of a slow start. Over 13 games, he's batting .162 with three RBI and a 4:9 BB:K. He's seeing time as a strong-side platoon option in right field.
