Dropped to ninth

Perdomo batted ninth and went 0-for-3 in Saturday's 10-5 loss to the Angels.

Analysis

For the last month, Perdomo made a home in the upper third of the batting order, but he was back down hitting ninth Saturday, which is where he started the season. It's unclear if this will be a permanent shift, but the shortstop has been productive no matter where he's been slotted.

Doubles twice in loss

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with a walk, two doubles and an RBI in Thursday's 4-3 loss to San Diego.

Analysis

The two doubles increased Perdomo's total to 20, the third consecutive season he's delivered at least 20 two-baggers. He's overcome a shaky beginning to June and hit safely in 16 of the last 21 contests, posting a slash line of .301/.414/.458 during that span. Other than that stretch in June, Perdomo has been remarkably consistent in 2025 and sports a .980 OPS with runners in scoring position, which has fueled a career-high 65 RBI through the first 93 games.

Hits grand slam in win

Perdomo went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a walk in an 8-2 win over the Padres on Wednesday.

Analysis

Perdomo maximized his lone hit, swatting a grand slam to right field in the fifth inning. While power hasn't typically been a big part of his game, the shortstop has turned things up a notch this season, as he's already recorded a career-high 10 long balls, surpassing his previous top mark of six homers set during the 2023 regular season. Perdomo is also up to 64 RBI, easily establishing a career-high mark and ranking 11th among major-league hitters.
