Cleared for baseball activities

Myers announced Monday that he has been cleared for baseball activities, MLB.com reports.

Análisis

After fracturing his left ankle July 13, Myers had been limited to upper-body workouts and running on an anti-gravity treadmill before getting the green light to resume baseball work. Given the length of his layoff, Myers will need to time to complete a running program and regain his timing at the plate, so he probably won't be a realistic option to return from the 60-day injured list until late September.
