Sitting after three straight starts
Slater is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
Análisis
The right-handed-hitting Slater started in each of the White Sox's last three games while the team went up against right-handed pitching. Though he went 4-for-10 with a double, two walks, three runs and one RBI in those contests, Slater still looks as though he'll be limited to a short-side platoon role so long as Mike Tauchman's sore right groin doesn't force him to the injured list. Tauchman remains out of the lineup Sunday, but Michael Taylor will get the nod in right field over Slater.

Enjoys perfect day at plate
Slater went 2-for-2 with a single, a double, an RBI, two walks and two runs scored during Friday's 7-1 win over the Blue Jays.
Análisis
Slater collected multiple hits for the second straight game and now has five hits over his last four games after going hitless in eight games in a row previously. He's made just 69 plate appearances this season, but over that sample, the 32-year-old has a .771 OPS, which would be his best number over a full season since 2022.
