On bench for series finale
Grisham is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.
Análisis
Though he started in Tuesday's 15-1 win while lefty Bailey Falter opened the game for Kansas City, the left-handed-hitting Grisham will hit the bench while the Royals go with a more traditional lefty starter in Noah Cameron for Wednesday's contest. Cody Bellinger will slide over to center field in place of Grisham, while Jose Caballero will start in left field for the first time this season to open up shortstop for Anthony Volpe.

Posts three hits, including homer
Grisham went 3-for-7 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in a 15-1 victory versus the Royals on Tuesday.
Análisis
Grisham got in on a huge offensive performance by New York, and he was one of nine Yankees to log multiple hits. The outfielder picked up his first RBI on a groundout in the third inning and added a 414-foot solo shot in the seventh. Grisham has been hitting well of late, batting .435 (10-for-23) over his past six games to lift his season average just over the Mendoza Line to .201. However, Tuesday's two RBI were his first over that six-game span.

All of his scans came back clean, and Grisham has been cleared to return to the lineup Friday. The 29-year-old is having a difficult time at the plate in 2026, slashing just .174/.305/.348 with six homers, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored, three stolen bases and a 30:35 BB:K across 187 trips to the dish.
