McDaniels posted 25 points (10-17 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, two blocks and two steals over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 110-108 overtime victory over Houston.
Analysis
McDaniels stepped up in the win and led Minnesota in scoring. He provided a much-needed boost without the services of Anthony Edwards, who is on the mend from a knee injury. Wednesday marked the first time McDaniels has reached the 20-point threshold since March 1.

Productive in win Sunday
McDaniels finished Sunday's 102-92 victory over the Celtics with 19 points (8-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt), six rebounds and three assists over 33 minutes.
Analysis
Even though this was the third time McDaniels didn't record a steal or a block in his last seven contests, fantasy managers will live with that if it means a bigger role offensively. Over his last four games, McDaniels is averaging 17.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 blocks per game while shooting 38.9 percent from deep. He should continue to see elevated offensive usage until Anthony Edwards (knee) is cleared to suit up again.

Thrives at both ends in loss
McDaniels ended Friday's 108-104 loss to the Trail Blazers with 16 points (6-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one block and five steals in 40 minutes.
Analysis
McDaniels has been turning things around offensively with five double-digit scoring performances over his last six games, but his real value lies in his ability to make an impact on both ends of the court. On that note, the five steals he notched Friday were a season-high mark for the six-year veteran. McDaniels is averaging 12.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game over his last six outings, so it's safe to say the slump he went through in early March is now a thing of the past.
