Likely to travel to Memphis
Wembanyama (knee) is likely to travel to Memphis for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies, Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com reports.
Analyse
According to head coach Mitch Johnson, Wembanyama is "looking really good," and he expects the big man to join the team on the trip. He also said the star center is day-to-day. The Spurs have been super cautious with Wembanyama previously, and it's worth mentioning that Tuesday's game is the front end of a back-to-back set.

Out again Saturday
Wembanyama (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Portland.
Analyse
Wembanyama hyperextended his left knee Wednesday, but additional testing came back clean, which is an encouraging sign for the superstar's long-term health. However, the Spurs will give Wembanyama some additional time to rest. His next chance to play will come Tuesday against Memphis in what will be the first leg of a back-to-back set. In the meantime, Luke Kornet and Kelly Olynyk should handle most of the center duties.

Won't play Friday
Wembanyama's MRI on his left knee came back clean, though he will not travel with the Spurs for Friday's game against Indiana, Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com reports.
Analyse
Wembanyama hyperextended his left knee in Wednesday's win over the Knicks and will stay in San Antonio to receive additional care Friday. Although the star big man is set to miss Friday's road matchup at the very least, Wright relayed that Wembanyama is likely to be listed as questionable for Saturday's home game against the Trail Blazers. With the 21-year-old unavailable against Indiana, Luke Kornet will likely get the starting nod, while Jeremy Sochan and Kelly Olynyk are also candidates for increased playing time.

Dealing with knee hyperextension
Wembanyama suffered a slight hyperextension in his left knee during Wednesday's 134-132 win over the Knicks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. He finished with 31 points (10-12 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 9-10 FT), 13 rebounds, one block and one assist in 24 minutes before checking out of the game with 10:32 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Analyse
Much to the relief of the Spurs, initial tests on Wembanyama's knee came back negative and showed no major injury. Wembanyama appeared to sustain the injury when he landed awkwardly and ultimately lost possession after gathering an offensive rebound with just under 11 minutes remaining. He was subbed out of the game soon thereafter and hobbled to the locker room, and though he wasn't able to return to the contest, he rejoined the Spurs on the bench with just over a minute remaining and didn't seem to be moving with any sort of limp. After the game, Wembanyama told Raul Dominguez of the Associated Press that he expects to play Friday at Indiana, but he should be viewed as questionable for the contest, which is the front end of a back-to-back set.

Fails to return Wednesday
Wembanyama (knee) did not return to Wednesday's win over the Knicks. He finished with 31 points (10-12 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 9-10 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and one block in 24 minutes.
Analyse
The Spurs have yet to release an update after Wembanyama suffered an apparent knee injury at the end of the third quarter. For what it's worth, he did return to the bench for the final 1:22 of regulation, but he was wearing sandals. He did not have any noticeable limp, however. For now, he can be considered questionable for Friday against the Pacers. Per Shams Charania of ESPN, initial tests showed Wembanyama avoided a major injury, but he is dealing with a slight hyperextension in his left knee. After the game, the superstar center said, "I'm feeling good, just sore. I was close to coming back into the game, but they had to hold me back. I expect to be back next game. I'm not sure what [the medical staff] expects."

Limps to locker room
Wembanyama left Wednesday's game against the Knicks with an apparent knee issue, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.
Analyse
Wembanyama came down awkwardly and was in some obvious pain. He hobbled straight back to the locker room, and it remains to be seen if he'll be able to finish out this contest.

Strong showing in loss
Wembanyama registered 26 points (7-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 10-12 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 27 minutes during Monday's 113-101 loss to the Cavaliers.
Analyse
Wembanyama was one of the lone bright spots for San Antonio, pacing his team in scoring and rebounding. The big man has put together a pair of huge performances since returning to the starting lineup and is finally starting to see his workload increase after sitting around the 20-minute mark in his first five matchups since being cleared to return from a calf strain.
