Newton logged 18 points (4-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and two steals over 27 minutes in Saturday's 102-89 Summer League loss to the Raptors.

Analyse

Newton led the Rockets in scoring, though it ultimately came in a losing effort. He has now started and scored in double figures in each of his first two appearances in the Las Vegas Summer League. The UConn product spent much of the 2025-26 season in the G League, making just one NBA appearance with Houston in the regular-season finale.
