Not playing Sunday
Vukcevic (hand) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Hornets.
Analyse
Vukcevic injured his right hand during the Wizards' 131-118 loss to the Pacers on Friday, and the issue is severe enough for him to miss Sunday's contest. Alex Sarr (hamstring) is also sidelined, so Anthony Gill figures to serve as the Wizards' starting center. Vukcevic's next chance to play is Tuesday against the Hawks.

Questionable to play Sunday
Vukcevic (hand) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Charlotte.
Analyse
Vukcevic suffered a right hand contusion during the Wizards' win over the Pacers on Friday, which puts him in jeopardy of missing Sunday's contest. He has started in each of the Wizards' last two games due to the absence of Alex Sarr (hamstring), so Anthony Gill would be the top candidate to enter the Wizards' starting liineup if Vukcevic is unable to play.

Upgraded to standard deal
Vukcevic (hand) agreed to a three-year, $9 million contract with the Wizards on Saturday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Analyse
Vukcevic began the season on a one-year, two-way pact but will receive added security with this new contract. The deal includes a team option for the third season. Over 35 regular-season appearances (five starts) in 2025-26, the big man has averaged 7.9 points and 2.7 rebounds in 12.3 minutes per contest. He's currently dealing with a right hand contusion and should be considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Hornets until Washington provides an update on his status.

Exits Friday with hand contusion
Vukcevic won't return to Friday's game against the Pacers due to a right hand contusion, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Analyse
Vukcevic, who was making his second straight start, will end the evening with 14 points (7-12 FG, 0-5 3Pt), eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 20 minutes. Anthony Gill will likely serve as the Wizards' primary option at center for the rest of the game. For now, Vukcevic can be considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Hornets.

Tallies five steals in win
Vukcevic (illness) finished with 12 points (4-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, five steals, one assist and one block across 17 minutes during Thursday's 112-105 win over the Pacers.
Analyse
Back in action after missing the Wizards' final game before the All-Star break due to an illness, Vukcevic stepped into the starting five in place of Alex Sarr (calf), who is headed for an extended absence. Vukcevic rewarded any fantasy managers who picked up off the waiver wire by delivering a career-high steal total, but the Wizards' decision to suppress his minutes prevented him from turning in an even bigger stat line. He didn't play the final 18 minutes, as the 15-39 Wizards had built a lead and seemingly held out most of their key players down the stretch in an effort to lose the game and improve their draft-lottery odds. Washington will likely continue to have volatile rotations the rest of the season that will make predicting the playing time for all members of the roster a difficult endeavor from game to game, but Vukcevic showed Thursday that if he can at least get 15-to-20 minutes, he could still provide plenty of fantasy value.

Joining first unit
Vukcevic is starting Thursday's game against the Pacers.
Analyse
Vukcevic will draw the start at center with Alex Sarr (hamstring) sidelined. Vukcevic fared well in his last start Feb. 7 against Brooklyn, as he finished with 14 points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 20 minutes.
18. Februar 2026
Available for Thursday
Vukcevic (illness) will play Thursday against the Pacers.
Analyse
Vukcevic is no longer on the injury report after missing the final game before the All-Star break with an illness. With Alex Sarr (hamstring) currently sidelined, Vukcevic is on the radar as a streaming option.
