Inactive Friday
Rupert (two-way) won't play in Friday's game against Detroit.
Analyse
Rupert had appeared in nine of Memphis' 11 games since the All-Star break and averaged 11.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 three-pointers, 1.4 steals and 1.0 assists in 29.0 minutes, though he won't suit up Friday as the Grizzlies manage his availability. The two-way player's next chance to suit up will come Monday against Chicago, but he's eligible to suit up for just seven of the Grizzlies' remaining 16 contests after Friday.

Analyse
Joining Rupert in the starting lineup for Thursday's game will be Javon Small, Jaylen Wells, GG Jackson and Olivier-Maxence Prosper. In Rupert's previous start this season, he finished with five points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT), five rebounds, two steals and one turnover in 32 minutes.

Adds 20 points in loss
Rupert tallied 20 points (5-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal across 36 minutes during Monday's 126-115 loss to the Nets.
Analyse
With the Grizzlies keeping just eight players active for Monday's contest, Rupert once again shouldered a sizable workload. Despite coming off the bench, the 21-year-old led Memphis in scoring, with his 20 points representing a season high across his 55 appearances between the Trail Blazers and Grizzlies. While he should continue to see decent minutes when active, Rupert's availability will be limited moving forward while he remains signed to a two-way contract. He's eligible to suit up in just nine of the Grizzlies' remaining 19 games, and since Memphis is expected to get at least a couple players who sat out Monday back in action for Tuesday's contest in Philadelphia, it wouldn't be surprising if Rupert was made inactive for the second leg of the back-to-back set.
