Pritchard and Derrick White took on larger roles on offense Thursday due to the absence of Jaylen Brown (illness). Pritchard wasn't the most efficient from the field during the win, but he finished as the Celtics' third-leading scorer behind White (30 points) and Jordan Walsh (22 points) and second in assists behind White (nine). It was the seventh time this season that Pritchard has scored 20-plus points, and the sixth-year point guard continues to enjoy a career year in the absence of Jayson Tatum (Achilles). Over his last 10 outings, Pritchard has averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 3.7 threes over 32.5 minutes per game.

Analyse
This was a nice bounceback performance from Pritchard, who was held to just nine points on 4-for-14 shooting his last time out. The Celtics needed someone to step up with Derrick White (calf) unavailable, and Pritchard answered the call, notching the second 40-plus-point performance of his career.

Shooting woes in defeat
Pritchard had nine points (4-14 FG, 1-8 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 31 minutes during Saturday's 119-115 loss to the Timberwolves.
Analyse
Pritchard delivered a lackluster performance from the field and shot 1-for-8 or worse from downtown for the first time since Oct. 31. He also scored in single digits for the first time since Nov. 11 after posting 15-plus points in five of his last six outings. On a more positive note, the 27-year-old grabbed five boards for a third consecutive contest.
