Out at least two games
Edwards (ankle) has been ruled out for games Thursday versus the Celtics and Saturday versus the Nets and will be re-evaluated early next week, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.
Analyse
Edwards had played at least 20 minutes in all but one of the 76ers' previous 18 contests, but he'll be sidelined to begin the second half after he sprained his left ankle during Tuesday's practice. With Edwards sidelined and with Eric Gordon (wrist) and Kyle Lowry (hip) also remaining out Thursday, the 76ers could turn to Jared Butler, Quentin Grimes and Ricky Council to handle elevated roles on the second unit.

Edwards sustained a sprained left ankle during Tuesday's practice, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.
Analyse
The severity of the ankle injury is unclear, though Edwards can be considered questionable at best for Thursday's contest against Boston until the Sixers provide another update. The 21-year-old has received an increased role of late, and over his last 10 outings (nine starts), he has averaged 9.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals across 28.9 minutes per game. If Edwards is sidelined, Ricky Council and Quentin Grimes could see an uptick in playing time.
