Not playing Sunday
Brown (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Hornets.
Analyse
As expected, Brown will miss Sunday's regular-season finale as he continues to work through a right knee posterior impingement. He received pain management injections in his right knee this past week, and the expectation is that the reigning NBA Finals MVP should be available for the first round of the postseason. Brown will finish the 2024-25 regular season averaging 22.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 34.3 minutes per game across 63 starts.

Expected to be ready for playoffs
Brown received pain management injections in his right knee this week and is expected to be ready for the start of the playoffs, Bobby Manning of Celtics on CLNS reports.
Analyse
Brown has sat out Boston's previous two contests due to a right knee posterior impingement and could sit out Sunday's regular-season finale against Charlotte. Brown cannot meet the 65-game requirement to be eligible for All-NBA awards, and the Celtics are locked into the second seed in the Eastern Conference, so there is no real incentive for him to play Sunday. However, the star forward should be able to suit up for the team's first-round matchup in the playoffs.

Won't play vs. Charlotte
Brown (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Hornets, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
Analyse
The Celtics have two games left in the regular season, and it appears the defending NBA champions will continue managing their stars cautiously, with Brown set to miss Friday's game. However, the rest of Boston's notable players have been cleared to play. Sam Hauser will likely see a boost in minutes with Brown sitting out.

Not playing Wednesday
Brown (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Orlando, Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe reports.
Analyse
Brown has played just 22 minutes in each of the Celtics' last two games while managing a right knee injury. With Boston locked into the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, Brown will join Jayson Tatum (ankle), Derrick White (ankle), Jrue Holiday (shoulder), Kristaps Porzingis (rest) and Al Horford (knee) on the bench. Brown's next chance to play is Friday against Charlotte.
9. April 2025
Iffy for Wednesday
Brown (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Magic, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
Analyse
Brown played just 22 minutes Tuesday against the Knicks, finishing with six points, five rebounds and one assist. He could be held out for maintenance, however. Still, the Celtics will be extremely shorthanded either way -- Derrick White (ankle), Jayson Tatum (ankle), Kristaps Porzingis (rest), Al Horford (knee) and Jrue Holiday (shoulder) are all being held out.
8. April 2025
Available vs. Knicks
Brown (knee) is available for Tuesday's game against the Knicks, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
Analyse
Brown was initially listed as questionable, but he'll suit up Tuesday as the Celtics will play a very strong lineup against New York in a battle of playoff teams. Brown has appeared in four of the Celtics' last five games, putting up 21.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
7. April 2025
Iffy to face New York
Brown (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
Analyse
Brown is in jeopardy of missing his first game in April due to a lingering right knee injury. If the star swingman is unable to suit up against New York, Sam Hauser and Baylor Scheierman are candidates to receive an uptick in playing time. Brown has appeared in four of the club's last five outings, during which he has averaged 21.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 three-pointers across 27.3 minutes per contest.
6. April 2025
Available vs. Washington
Brown (knee) has been cleared to play in Sunday's game against the Wizards, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Analyse
Brown will be available to play Sunday against Washington despite a knee issue. The reigning NBA Finals MVP will be leaned on heavily against the Wizards, with Jayson Tatum (ankle) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) ruled out. Brown is coming off a 31-point performance in Friday's win against the Suns.
