Allen totaled 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-4 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Friday's 108-102 win over the Knicks.

Although Allen was limited to just 16 minutes in Thursday's narrow loss to Indiana, he was back to handling his normal workload while posting a double-double Friday. It's possible the top-seeded Cavaliers opt to rest several key players in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Pacers, though. Allen has averaged 14.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.9 steals in 26.4 minutes while shooting 77.1 percent from the floor over his last nine games.

Allen was the only usual member of the starting five to suit up for Cleveland, as the Cavaliers are giving him the chance to play in all 82 games during the regular season. The big man didn't return during the second half, though he should be back in action for the second leg of the club's back-to-back set against the Knicks on Friday. However, with Cleveland having already clinched the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, Allen could be subject to light workloads Friday and in the regular-season finale Sunday versus the Pacers.

Allen (rest) didn't start the second half of Thursday's game against the Pacers, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Analyse
Allen's goal is to play all 82 regular-season games this year, and he was the only usual starter for the Cavaliers to suit up Thursday. If the big man doesn't check back in, he'll finish with three points (1-4 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds and an assist across 16 minutes. Head coach Kenny Atkinson said Thursday that Allen would operate under a limited capacity, per Fedor, which could continue moving forward, as the club has two games remaining after Thursday.
